The Citizens’ Representative Council (CRC) of Ulaanbaatar elected a new mayor  for the capital city on Friday.

D.Sumiyabazar, a prominent member of the ruling Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) and former mining and heavy industry minister, was elected the city’s mayor with a vote of over 71 percent in the 45-seat council.
