Schools and kindergartens are closed today (20 October) in the Dalanzadgad Soum of South Gobi (Umnugobi), which is the southernmost province of Mongolia, due to a snow storm. Furthermore, roads between Uvurkhangai Province and capital city of Ulaanbaatar have been closed by the local emergency commission. So far, most roads connecting the provinces with Ulaanbaatar have not been working since early morning in order to prevent a possible storm disaster.

According to the meteorological agency, the wind speed is expected to reach 18-20 m/sec during the snow storm in most parts of Mongolia.
