The National Emergency Commission of Mongolia has planned 13 charter flights for repatriating its nationals stranded in pandemic-hit countries. Since 1 September, MIAT, Mongolian airlines has conducted six charter flights to foreign countries. Today (17 September), a MIAT Boeing aircraft has departed to Hong Kong for evacuating 266 Mongolians including 25 people with health problems, 38 elderly people and 115 people with other difficulties.

The passengers are to be quarantined in the National Centre for Communicative Diseases, the Central Military Hospital and Toyoko Inn Hotel.
