Mongolia will observe its annual day of remembrance for the victims of political persecution on September 10. On Friday, officials of the Khan-Uul district in Ulaanbaatar will hold a “free service” day for the families of the 145 victims registered in the district.
The district’s redressing commission has also sent a letter to the State Redressing Commission, asking that apartments be granted to victims’ families as compensation. The period for redressing and compensating the victims of political persecution ends at the end of this year.
