One of the major administrative decisions taken by the Mongolian Cabinet, following the recent election, has been the established of a Ministry of Culture. The decision was taken on 16 July. The Ministry of Culture has been formed from the old Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports. The new ministry, which will have 78 employees, is being located on the 9^th floor of the Central Palace of Culture, just east of State House and Sukhbaatar Square.

S.Chuluun, former director of the Institute of History and Archeology, at the Mongolian Academy of Science has been appointed as Minister of Culture and archeologist M.Batbayar as deputy.
