Yesterday (2 August), two more Mongolian peacekeepers who had been repatriated from Afghanistan were confirmed having coronavirus in the fourth tests. Mongolia repatriated 62 peacekeepers from Afghanistan in July after some of them had contacted coronavirus infection. Therefore, a total of 22 peacekeepers were confirmed having COVID-19.

So far, Mongolia has 293 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 230 recoveries. Currently, 63 patients with coronavirus infection are under treatment in the National Centre for Communicative Diseases.
