Mongolia isolates eight after repatriation from Europe

Earlier today (27 July) at 7:40 a.m., 266Mongolian nationals who had been stranded in Europe returned home by a charter flight from Frankfurt to Ulaanbaatar. However, four passengers suspected as having thecoronavirus infection and four of their direct contacts have been isolated in the National Centre for Communicative Diseases for further examination and observation. All other passengers have to follow 21-day quarantine in resorts upon arrival.

Mongolia repatriated 11 pregnant women, 22 elderly people with accompanying people, 51 families with children, 28 people in poor health,and 152 people who had serious reasons for return.

As of today, Mongolia has 288 confirmed cases of coronavirus; 218 of them are fully recovered from COVID-19. The country of three million does not have any local transmissions.
