Earlier today (23 July), the UK Visa Application Centre in Mongolia re-opened although the county of three million has still yet to open its borders. Currently, the only flights arriving in Ulaanbaatar are repatriation charter flights. Under safety rules for preventing the coronavirus infection, customers may be asked to observe physical distancing, undergo temperature checks and be required to wear facemasks, subject to local authority guidelines. Applicants must have an appointment to visit the Visa Application Centre.
Customers exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, including fever (37.8 degrees Celsius and above), coughs or difficulty breathing will be helped to reschedule their application submission for another day and will be advised to seek medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility of their choice.
