A Mongolian student who has been considered fully recovered from COVID-19 has now tested coronavirus positive. The student was under isolation in a resort after being discharged from the National Centre for Communicative Disease on 26 June. However, the student was confirmed as having coronavirus again at the third testing before being released from the resort on 9 July.
The student returned from Moscow on 13 May in a military plane chartered by the Russian Ministry of Defence and was confirmed having coronavirus the next day.
So far, Mongolia has 287 confirmed cases of coronavirus; all are imported. In other words, there is any local transmission in the country of three million. Furthermore, to date, 213 people have recovered from COVID-19.
