Fourth Mongolian woman gives birth in quarantine

Today (9 July), two people aged 19-37 were discharged from the National Centre for Communicative Diseases. So far, Mongolia has 227 confirmed cases of coronavirus; 197 or 85 percent of which have recovered. Currently, 30 people with COVID-19 are under treatment at the NCCD.

A pregnant woman who recovered from coronavirus has given birth to a baby boy at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases. Previously, she had been under quarantine at a resort after having fully recovered from the infection. Later she was transferred to the NCCD in order to give birth.

She has become the fourth pregnant woman who has gone into labour whilst in quarantine. The women have given birth to three girls and a son. Therefore, another pregnant woman is in the isolation centre for observation.
