Mongolia’s coronavirus cases reach 227

Two more confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported today (8 July) in Mongolia, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 227. Two women aged 21 and 22 were confirmed having the disease  after repeated tests. One woman is under quarantine at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases in Ulaanbaatar and the other is in Darkhan-Uul Province. They were among among the 85 Mongolians repatriated from Russia on 6 July through the Altanbulag-Khyagta border crossing.

Separately, a 24-year-old woman has been discharged from the NCCD after having fully recovered from coronavirus. She has been receiving treatment at the NCCD for 50 days. To date, 195 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Mongolia.
