27 Mongolian students get full marks in General Entrance Exam

Some 30900 Mongolian students took the General Entrance Exam on 2-5 July. According to officials, the exam attendance was 89.5 percent.

This year, 27 students achieved 800 points, which is the highest score in mathematics; 14 of them were from Ulaanbaatar. In 2019, there were 14 students who took 800 points.

Under the Mongolian Constitution, the government must provide 12-years of free general education. At the end of their 12th year, students are required to take the General Entrance Exam if they wish to go to university. While students choose their exams depending on their preferred field of study, since 2013, it has become mandatory for every student to take the Mongolian language exam.
