A small-sized aircraft by “Geosan” LLC started operating flights to Altai and Bugat soums (district) of Gobi-Altai province. “Cessna Grand Caravan 208B’ aircraft has 12 passenger seats and it flies at the height of 8,340 m with 341 km/h speed and in distance of 1,700 km.

Altai and Bugat are largely populated soums apart from the provincial center. However, it is difficult to its residents to travel to the provincial center especially in winter and spring due to lack of infrastructure. The new flight will help elders, mothers with small children and others who need of medical emergency assistance to reach bigger hospital comfortable and quickly.

Mongolia plans to build an aerodrome for general-purpose aircraft in 116 locations of 21 provinces.
