40 Mongolian students receive programming certificates

Earlier today (19 June), 40 selected students received programming certificates after 15 days of training under a project for creating 10,000 software developers.

With a view of increasing employment in the information technology sector, training highly-skilled human resources, building the capacities for teachers and improving the quality of software training programme, the Ulaanbaatar City Administration and the Industrial Development Innovation Agency have jointly launched the project to train 10,000 software developers. The training activities commenced on 26 May.

Therefore, the UB Administration and the ‘Empasoft’ Academy have established a cooperation agreement on organizing elementary level training to 400 children and advanced level training to another 100 children of target groups with a view of disseminating basic  programming skills.

The project will provide learning opportunities for young people, who make up 65 percent of the population of the Mongolian capital. Already, innovation centers for young people have been set up in the Bayankhoshuu and Selbe  Districts.

Mongolia is a country of the young as people aged between 18-35 make up more than half of population.
