In the last 24 hours, a total of 339 people have been tested for coronavirus at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases in Ulaanbaatar and a laboratory in Darkhan-Uul Province; three of them have been confirmed having COVID-19. According to health officials, the three are truck drivers, namely, a 59-year-old Russian, a 37-year-old Belarusian and a 32-year-old Mongolian; they entered the country through the Altanbulag border crossing. So far, the total number of confirmed coronavirus infection in Mongolia has reached 204.
Separately, five Mongolian students were discharged today (19 June) from the NCCD after having fully recovered from COVID-19, making the total recoveries to 132.
Currently, 72 people with coronavirus are under treatment in the NCCD; 67 of them have mild symptoms whilst the remaining five are in a serious condition.
