Since January, 2020, a total of 29 children have died from road accidents in Mongolia; 12 of the fatalities were a result of the drivers’ fault. It is heartbreaking statistic for the country that has a population of just three million. According to official statistics, more than 60 percent of road accidents involving children are caused by drivers who flagrantly violate traffic laws.
There were 172 children involved in road accidents in the first half of 2020; of them, 143 were injured and 29 died.
