Mongolian soldiers begin practicing for Victory Day Parade

Some 100 soldiers from the Armed Forces of Mongolia will participate in the military parade to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War at the invitation of Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. The Mongolian soldiers arrived in Moscow on 14 June, by Russian Il-76 aircraft.

Mongolian troops started their training at a sanatorium provided by the Russian Ministry of Defence, after three repeated tests for COVID-19.

In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin took the decision to postpone the annual Red Square parade, which is always held on the 9th of that month until June 24 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Military officers from 19 countries will participate in the Victory Day parade the parade rehearsals are planned to take place on Red Square on June 17-20.
