The Ulaanbaatar International Media Arts Festival is going online for the first time as the pandemic is reshaping our society. The festival will take place between 18 June and 8 July.
The Art Council of Mongolia in partnership with Goethe-Institute Mongolia and Todays Art Festival, with the support of the White Rock Centre, is presenting UBIMAF 2020 under the theme of ‘Mirage’ – an illusion that seems real.
International co-creations, include the joint German & Mongolian ‘Mirage’ media art piece consisting of a 360 ͦ dome projection; this will be the first time the work will be seen Mongolia, also, “Labyrinth” a co-creation by Dutch & Mongolian joint video, media, light installation, and a American & Mongolian joint sound composition.
In addition, for the duration of the festival, the Art See Talk series and “Challenges & Benefits of Creating Online Contents” panel discussion will take place.
