NEMA receives large batch of fire-rescue vehicles

Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) works closely with equipment suppliers from around the world. The nation’s fire brigades are one of the important divisions of NEMA. Currently, the organization is working closely with Belarus for the supply of specialist vehicles, including fire engines.

Belarus is exporting 73 different emergency rescue vehicles to Mongolia under a contract for 2020. The deal included such important equipment as mobile hospitals. The Minsk-based company will create a network of service centers in Mongolia.

Vladimir Gogolev, leading specialist of the Minsk Automobile Plant said: “MAZ vehicles are modified to meet the specifications of Mongolia, where the temperature can be from – 40 to + 50 degrees.” The vehicles are made taking into account the climatic features of the region.

Specifically, regarding the fire engines: MAZ chassis have been complemented with the innovative developments of the company, which has its own staff of engineers and designers, who use special light materials.

The cabin, as well as the tanker, which can keep 5 000 liters, is made of reinforced fiberglass. The material is anti-corrosion. A fire pump can pour 40 liters of water per second. The vehicle is also equipped with a 32 meter ladder.
