Mongolia’s 2020 parliamentary election is fast approaching. The important event will be held on 24 June.
Earlier today (3 June), the Independent Authority against Corruption released the income and revenue statements of the 606 candidates who are running. The financial information is available for all to read on the IAAC’s website.
The 606 candidates are competing for 76 seats in the State Great Khural -as the Mongolian parliament is called. Of the 606, a record number of 121 of them are independents; they are standing against the 485 candidates from 13 parties and four coalitions. The big two Mongolian parties; namely the ruling Mongolia’s People’s Party and main opposition – the Democratic Party each nominated 76 candidates.
