A former Anod Bank official convicted of cheating the bank’s shareholders is still in jail, despite receiving a court’s permission to be hospitalized. The Bayanzurkh district court said N.Davaa could be sent to a hospital beginning September 1 to be treated for heart disease. But he is still in jail because the paperwork needed to release him has not been completed. Jail officials say they do not know when he will be allowed to go to the hospital. N.Davaa’s wife is worried. She says her husband is in bad health.
