Mongolia faces no vaccine disruption

The global coronavirus pandemic is causing severe disruption to the process of immunisation against diseases such as measles, polio and cholera, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said. The lives of some 80 million lives of children under the age of 1 from over 60 countries are at risk, according to a report from the WHO and partners.

Fortunately, Mongolia has not been facing any vaccine disruption and has enough stockpiles, explained D.Narangerel, Head of the National Center for Public Health. Furthermore, Mongolia is bringing vaccines back on board every evacuation plane from foreign countries. The country of three million receives vaccines with WHO certificates through UNICEF.
