Earlier today (26 May), a government-chartered MIAT flight evacuated 171 more Mongolian who had been stranded in Russia. In addition, a total of 594 Mongolian returned home through the Kyakhta-Altanbulag border crossings; they were then transported to Ulaanbaatar by train for 21-day isolation.
There have been 4000 Mongolians living or studying in Russia; 90 percent of them are students. Before today, 2000 students have returned home as Mongolia begun repatriating its nationals from Russia through Kyakhta-Altanbulag border crossings; today 764 students out of remaining 1047 in Russia have returned home.
Since January, some 62 thousand Mongolians have returned home from foreign countries.
