Earlier today (25 May), the National Emergency Commission of Mongolia held an extended meeting that was attended by Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh and other ministers.
At the meeting, U.Khurelsukh said that country will open its borders with Russia and China after the vaccines against COVID-19 are launched. Mongolia has been in total lockdown since 11 March when the country closed its borders.
So far, scientists around the world are working frantically to find an effective vaccine against the pandemic. Many believe, this is still several months away.
