Global luxury brands have long admired the quality and fine texture of Mongolian cashmere. Therefore, Mongolia’s best luxury cashmere producer ‘Khaan Khishigt’ has received orders for 100 tonnes from Italy. According to N.Batkhishig, a representative from the ‘Sustainable Cashmere Development’ international organization, confirmed that high quality Mongolian cashmere stockpiled in Sukhbaatar Province and with a fineness grade of 15.8-16.1 microns, meet the Italian standards.

Mongolia produces 9800-10.000 tonnes of cashmere annually; over 40 percent of global demand. ‘Khaan Khishigt’ supplies between 20-30 percent of the country’s cashmere.
