20 people with Covid-19 make recovery in Mongolia

Mongolia, so far, does not have any local transmissions of Covid-19. However, total of 98 people have been confirmed having coronavirusin the country as the charter flights are continuing to fly to pandemichit countries to bring Mongolian nationals home.

Some good news is that four students aged 20-21 and a 55 years-old woman have beendischarged today (15 May) from the National Centre for Communicative Diseases after having fully recovered from coronavirus, makingthe total number of recoveries to 20. Currently, 78 patients with coronavirus are under treatment at the NCCD.

Separately, 179 Mongolian nationals returned to Ulaanbaatar yesterday (14 May), from Istanbulwith a MIAT charter flight; they have beenquarantined in the Central Military Hospital, the Amar Hotel, the Michid Hotel and the NCCD. In addition, over 200 Mongolian students who returned from Russia through the Altanbulag border-crossing, were immediately placed under 21-day precautionary isolation in the Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul and Selenge provinces.
