Mongolia’s health officials have made a second announcement in one day about the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19. Today (14 May), at 5.00 p.m., it was confirmed that the number had jumped up to 98 after another 37 students who were evacuated from Russia tested positive for coronavirus. Early this morning, 18 students and one passenger from the Frankfurt flight of 3 May, tested positive. Mongolia evacuated 349 cadets and students from Russia yesterday (13 May). Testing of these students is still continuing.
Mongolia confirmed its first COVID-19 case on 10 March when a French national diagnosed having coronavirus infection after arriving the country.
