Earlier today (14 May), Director of National Emergency Commission, U.Enkhtuvshin ordered three Governors from eastern Mongolian provinces not to attend ruling party congress. They were ordered to stay ‘on station’ in order to take the any action required and preventative measures against a possible natural disaster expected in the region on 15-17 May.
According to weather reports, blizzards and storms with wind speeds of 26-28 m/sec with occasional gusts of up to 34 m/sec are expected in the provinces of Khentii, Sukhbaatar, Gobisumber, Dundgobi, and Dornogobi.
The Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party will take place on 16 May for voting candidates for the parliamentary election. The general election will be held on 24 June.
