Second passenger on Frankfurt flight tests positive

A second person who was on the MIAT chartered flight from Frankfurt was diagnosed today (5 May) with coronavirus; this brings the total number of cases of Covid-19 in Mongolia to 41. The country of 3.2 million evacuated 274 of its nationals from the central Germany city with a MIAT chartered flight on 3 May.

Also, earlier today, the third Turkish national was discharged from the National Centre for Communicative Diseases in Ulaanbaatar after fully recovering from coronavirus. Currently, 28 patients; all Mongolian, are under treatment at the NCCD with a mild condition.

Mongolia reported its first confirmed case of Covid-19 on 10 March after a French national tested positive on coronavirus. The 57 year-old French man arrived on 2 March and had direct conduct with nearly 300 people; all tested negative on coronavirus. He returned to home with the outbound MIAT flight to Frankfurt on 3 May.
