As of today (29 April), Mongolia has confirmed 38 cases of coronavirus infection; all of them are imported. Four of them are foreigners. In addition, 10 people, including ‘Patient Number One’ – the French national and a family member of a member of staff from the Turkish Embassy in Mongolia, have fully recovered from coronavirus infection.

According to health officials, 20 of people with Covid-19 did not show any immediate symptoms of the disease; these emerged during a period of up to 13 days.  Mongolia is not taking any risks: the people who have been evacuated from pandemic-hit countries are immediately isolated and are tested again and again. Most of the confirmed cases of the remining 21 people with coronavirus are in a mild condition.

In addition, five Mongolians staying in foreign countries had been confirmed with coronavirus over the last two weeks. They have contacted Mongolia through a special line seeking help and medical advice.
