Earlier today (21 April), Yo.Baatarbileg, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports announced some decisions made by the Mongolian Government regarding the closure of schools and universities. The National Emergency Commission has extended school quarantines until 1 September in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Government has cancelled all Olympiads, sports competitions and cultural contests among students this year.

According to statistics, some 80 thousand new pupils will enter secondary schools. In addition, the ministry will organise students’ admission to universities online by 10 July.

From this year, the Mongolian Government has decided to pay university fees for nurses, in full or partially, depending on their grades.
