At today’s 11 AM daily press briefing of the Ministry of Health, our journalist from news.mn questioned Ms. A.Ambaselmaa, Head of the Surveillance Department of the National Centre for Communicative Diseases regarding the patients with Covid-19.

Currently, Mongolia has confirmed 31 cases of coronavirus; five of whom have been discharged from hospital after fully recovering. All the patients with coronavirus infection are in a stable condition with mild symptoms. Therefore, none of them have required ventilator support.

Regarding ‘Patient Number One’ – the French national who became the first patient with Covid-19 in Mongolia: he is still under treatment and is in a  stable condition. The 57-year-old began receiving treatment at NCCD on 10 March as soon as he had confirmed as having coronavirus. The NCCD discharges some patients after they tested negative for  coronavirus several times; however all of Patient Number One’s test results have been bad – so he will have to stay confined until he makes a full recovery.
