The UAE finances construction of three kindergartens in Mongolia

Construction began today (16 April) of the new building of Kindergarten No. 25 begun in the Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar. The kindergarten is being financed by a grant from the government of the United Arab Emirates.

The 60-year-old kindergarten is one of the oldest in Ulaanbaatar and is in urgent need of a new building as its lifespan of the old one has ended while the number of children being enrolled has increased. The new kindergarten will open on 1 September 2020 and will have a capacity of 240 children.

With a grant from the government of UAE, two more kindergartens with a capacity of 100 children each are being built in the Kherlen Soum of Khentii Aimag (province) and Sainshand Soum of Dornogovi Aimag.

Over the past four years, the UAE government have provided assistance of USD 1.3 million to Mongolia for combating environmental pollution, protection of birds of prey, providing modern medical equipment to health centers of some districts, computers and water purifiers to schools, and equipping the Children’s Reading Hall at the Natsagdorj Library in Ulaanbaatar.
