Mongolian health officials reported today (16 April), that there is a new confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 31. The patient is a Mongolian student, who had been staying at the Amar Hotel in Ulaanbaatar city under mandatory isolation after arriving from Russia on April 11.

More than 5,000 tests for coronavirus have been conducted in Mongolia so far; until today no locally transmitted COVID-19 cases have been identified.
