World Vision helping protect Mongolians against Coronavirus

 

World Vision International yesterday (14 April) handed over personal protective equipment together with disinfectant devices to Mongolian police officers who are executing duties on the  frontline to prevent the  coronavirus infection.

World Vision Mongolia International has been providing assistance to poor families with many children, who are at high risk in this difficult time as well as physicians and frontline officers. The organization has helped 7010 households, who are in an extremely difficult situation, with food products of MNT 311 million in the last two months. Moreover, based on a rapid emergency survey, it has approved financing for a six-month humanitarian responsive measure of USD 2.2 million in directions of preventing from the spread of COVID-19 infection.

Within it, representatives of the organization presented 20 thousand face masks, 1000  items of protective clothing, 30 thousand single use gloves, eyeglasses, 500 pairs of rubber boots and 250 Automax disinfectant devices. The total price of these six types of PPE is MNT 66.637.500.
