Earlier today (14 April), 13 new cases of COVID-19 infected people were reported in Mongolia, bringing the total number to 30. According to health officials, the new cases are all Mongolian students studying in Moscow. The students aged 19-23 have been isolated and appear to be in a stable condition. The students were among the 280 people who returned from Russia on Sunday (12 April); it appears that one of that number had been confirmed as having coronavirus. The group of 30 Mongolian students from the Russian capital were put under quarantine at the Amar Hotel. It is likely that they were infected by contact with the confirmed person.
Mongolia has tested over 500 people who returned from Moscow through Ulan-Ude yesterday (13 April); 260 of them were tested negative on coronavirus.
Separately, five people have been discharged from hospital after having fully recovered from coronavirus infection.
