On Saturday (11 April), the World Health Organization (WHO) made a donation of medical protection supplies to Mongolia to help the country in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sergey Diorditsa, the WHO country representative, handed over the supplies, including test kits, face masks, and medical gloves, which are worth USD 80,770, to the country’s Health Ministry and National Centre for Communicable Disease (NCCD).
“People working in the health sector need to be healthy and protect themselves from risk in order to treat citizens. I am glad to receive the much-needed prevention supplies for medical workers,” said Davaajantsan Sarangerel, Mongolia’s health minister.
“I would like to thank Mongolian health workers for their tireless efforts. Your efforts are vital to overcoming this disease,” Diorditsa said.
