On 2 April, a MIAT charter flight flew to Tokyo in order to bring home over 200 Mongolia nationals stuck in Japan. On the outward flight, the government-chartered aircraft took 130 Japanese nationals back home.
Earlier today (8 April), Mr. Kobayashi Hiroyuki, Japanese Ambassador to Mongolia expressed his thanks to D.Battur, Executive Director of MIAT for the safe transport of his compatriots to their homeland.
“I would like to express my gratitude towards MIAT for transporting Japanese 130 citizens safely and responsibly by the charter flight from Ulaanbaatar to Tokyo, following the decision made by the Government of Mongolia and the State Emergency Commission during the difficult times caused by COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to further expand our cooperation” the Ambassador said.
