A new football and athletics stadium is under construction in the  Bayanzurkh District of Ulaanbaatar . The stadium is located just west of the General Authority for Border Protection of Mongolia. The stadium covers 1.8 hectares area which returned to city ownership in 2019.

According to officials, the stadium includes a 450 meter-long athletics track with four lanes and 5500 square meters of football field, 880 square meters of basketball and volleyball field, 84 meters-long jump track and 1155 square meters of jogging track.

Currently, construction of the stadium has been 70 percent completed; it is expected to open on 15 May.
