Mongolian Parliament to hold online session for first time

The State Great Khural, as the Mongolian Parliament is known, will open its spring session on 6 April. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the spring sessions of parliament and meetings of the standing committees will be held remotely using an online platform from five halls at the State Palace. The decision was announced by Secretariat of the State Great Hural, earlier today (3 April).

Plenary meetings and meetings of standing committees and working groups will be organized via video streaming in the halls. Parallel with this will be the possibility for MPs joining the sessions remotely. For those MPs attending in person, strict social distancing of two meters will be observed; in addition, no more than 20 MPs in one place will be able to gather.
