Mongolia’s COVIS-19 cases has reached 12 again today (1 April) after two Turkish people were confirmed having coronavirus infection. The two people are family members of employees at the Turkish Embassy in Mongolia and arrived in Ulaanbaatar on 28 March with the chartered flight provided by the South Korean Government. According to sources, one of them is the wife of Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Yazal.
They have been isolated for prevention and observation of the coronavirus infection ever since they arrived in Mongolia. Subsequently, they have not met their families. They tested positive after three days in isolation.
Yesterday, (31 March), two Mongolian women were discharged from hospital after having fully recovered from coronavirus. The two, who are in their 60s will have to self-isolate at their homes for 14 days.
The French national, who became the first confirmed COVID-19 patient in Mongolia, and the original remaining nine patients are now in a stable condition, reported the National Centre for Communicative Diseases.
