Mongolia has spent MNT 37.6 billion on the health sector in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, the coronavirus economic rescue measures are being financed by state funds, international soft loans and assistance. Mongolia has received a total of MNT 20.6 billion from international soft loans and assistance such as a MNT 4.2 billion package from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), MNT 6 billion from the World Bank, and MNT 4.5 billion from the Republic of Korea
Mongolia’s healthcare-related spending of MNT 17 billion is comprised of MNT 9 billion for medical supplies and equipment, MNT 6.5 billion for disinfection and sanitation, and MNT 1.5 billion to cover additional wages of healthcare providers, introduced Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar.
