Bayanzurkh District is the most populous area in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. The Bayanzurkh’s Social Insurance Department has initiated an online challenge against the coronavirus pandemic. Entitled the ‘Safety Check Challenge’ – it is currently being undertaken by employees from the Bayanzurkh District Administration.

Participants of the challenge must post their photos on social media after taking steps to prevent coronavirus infection.

Mongolia has confirmed 11 cases of coronavirus; 10 of them are Mongolians who were evacuated from foreign countries and a French national who arrived on 2 March.
