Earlier today (20 March), a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Gobi-Altai, a western province of Mongolia. According to the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, the epicenter of the earthquake was 30 km east of the centre of the Tonkhil Soum at 11.03 a.m. followed by 80 aftershocks – some of which were felt by the public or only recorded with sensitive equipment.
