As reported, a British national who sat next to the Frenchman, who brought coronavirus to Mongolia, on the plane from Moscow has been quarantined in Uvs Province. His Covid-19 test arrived in Ulaanbaatar yesterday and tested negative on coronavirus. As of today, he is stable and not showing any symptoms, reported the Uvs Province Emergency Commission. As a precaution, the 181 people who had direct contact with the British man has been examined in hospitals and advised to self-quarantine at home after not having symptoms.
As of today, a total of 207 people who had direct contact with the French national have also tested negative. The 59-year-old Frenchman, was confirmed Covid-19 positive on Tuesday 10 March, being the first case in coronavirus-free Mongolia. He is now undergoing treatment at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases.
The French father of two, had been in Mongolia since 2 March, where he had arrived from Moscow on an Aeroflot flight.
