Due to the COVID-19, the Delegation of the European Union to Mongolia is on a teleworking regime for the period of 11-13 March 2020. No bilateral or public meetings will take place during this period.

Mongolia has closed its borders with China and Russia as well as cancelled all flights after the first case of coronavirus infection confirmed. A 57–years-old French man was confirmed the coronavirus infection in Mongolia. He is now under treatment in the National Center of Communicative Diseases. Because he irresponsibly ignored the self-quarantine instruction issued at the airport, for several days he had contact with several hundred people.
