A total of six people who returned with flights from Kazakhstan, Turkey and Russia have been isolated at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases (NCCD). According to Ya.Buyanjargal, NCCD director of emergencies, one person on a flight with 27 passengers from the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan and two people who returned with a Turkish Airlines flight from Italy were isolated on suspicion of having coronavirus on Thursday (5 March).
Also, three family members who returned from Russia were isolated on Wednesday (4 March) after they had been detained about concealing the fact they had been travelling in Italy. In addition, one of them posed a direct health risk to co-workers for working as soon as returning Italy without undergoing any coronavirus examination.
As of Wednesday (5 March), there have not been any confirmed cases of coronavirus in Mongolia. Since the outbreak began, the country has tested 255 people negative of coronavirus.
