Mongolia suspends more flights

Although located directly north of China, Mongolia is one of few countries where there have not been any confirmed cases of coronavirus. Mongolia has canceled its flights to and from Ulaanbaatar and important destinations, namely Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, Busan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan until 28 March.

Earlier today, Mongolia decided to suspend flights between the Russian cities of Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude from 2 March until 11 March.

Mongolian citizens who are returning to the country transiting through South Korea, Japan, Italy and Iran will be allowed to enter at the Buyant-Ukhaa border crossing at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, the Altanbulag-Khiagt border crossing and Sukhbaatar- Naushki station from 2 March until 30 March.
