Mongolia will re-open roads between provinces and cities from 3 March at 6.00 a.m. The National Emergency Commission (NEC) took the drastic step of closing all roads connecting provinces and major towns and cities nationwide from 23 February in order to limit the risk of the spread of coronavirus. Furthermore, a total of 2596 enterprises such as bars, movie theatres, schools and fitness clubs have been closed in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia.
According to officials, more than 40,000 people and 14,000 cars are expected to enter Ulaanbaatar city from tomorrow. Currently, over 6000 civil servants including police officers, doctors and officials from Metropolitan Professional Inspection Department are on duty in order to prevent coronavirus infection in Ulaanbaatar city.
