Mongolian health officials reported today (20 February) that two people have been suspected of having the symptoms of coronavirus – one in Ulaanbaatar and the other in Zavkhan Province. A student who has been studying in the Chinese city of Tianjin, has been quarantined at the National Centre of Communicative Disease.  The student returned on 13 February on a board a flight from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar.

Another person with symptoms of pneumonia has been isolated in Zavkhan Province. He travelled in China from 6-12 February and returned by a bus with 40 other passengers through the Gashuun Sukhait border crossing.  As a precaution, both have been isolated in order to prevent the spread of infection if they do, indeed, have coronavirus.
